As the home of public service leadership, we identify and develop the core capacities needed for effective leadership in a range of settings, and turn them into practical packages of support for individuals and organisations – and all our work is underpinned by our insight into developing leadership skills in context. Members seeking support to identify their personal development priorities, and to develop themselves as effective leaders, can access a range of exclusive and open programmes which build capacity and confidence, either in response to current challenges or in preparation for those yet to come.
Many members say that our longer programmes – such as Springboard, Transform or Total Leadership – are the single most valuable development activity they’ve undertaken. Others prefer to use the networking and discussion opportunities at our events as a more informal way to develop their professional repertoire and practice. In both cases, there’s no question that Solace membership provides a distinctive and complementary additional dimension to other professional groups or networks.
